Passive approach – you publish your resume on websites and wait for a call from a recruiter.
LinkedIn works best in the United States, it needs a good profile: describe the achievements and career path. Do not forget to activate the checkbox in the “Actively looking for work” settings. Then recruiters will see that you are open to suggestions.
AngelList also works well for startup positions. You can publish your resume on the site and tick the box “Actively looking for a job.”
The Hired site is different. You cannot choose the companies yourself, but publish your resume, mentors review it and let (or not) enter the platform. The resume hangs on the site for about three weeks, and the companies themselves select it. Quality leads also come from this platform in the form of good interviews.

Websites for finding jobs in the States:
linkedin.com;
angel.co;
hired.com;
indeed.com;
monster.com;
dice.com;
glassdoor.com.
An active approach – you yourself look for vacancies on all sites and respond to them.
A smart approach is finding a job through a reference system. This approach works best. Big companies like Google and Facebook don’t accept cold resumes at all, it definitely needs someone to recommend you.

How an offer is made in the USA
The offer is sent in electronic form, signed with an electronic signature and returned back.
Usually they give a week to think over the proposal. According to the terms, you can and should bargain – you should not sign without negotiations. You can get, for example, additional benefits.
There is no concept of “probation” in the United States. Here a work contract can be terminated in one day, without explanation. Both sides have this right.
Quote from Jeremy Bukler – Senior Product Manager:
I have not come across any negative ethnicity. In the States, everything is so positively veiled that you don’t even understand why you were refused. But this does not affect work in any way. Here people from all over the world are a porridge of people. There are many cool professionals, and it doesn’t matter what nationality you are, what matters is what you do!

Don’t forget that communication skills of each person are formed individually and throughout life. The influencing factors here are relationships with parents, peers, and later with management and work colleagues. In general, our awareness of our own social role dictates to us the “rules” of behavior and communication in the environment.
